President's Message - Nina Beheim, AFP, CPP (2013-2014)

To the amazing members of PPW,
Honored and humbled describe my emotions regarding the coming year as President of PPW. Words continue to fail me when attempting to share my excitement about the events for 2013, and the Board of Directors and members with whom I’ll work!
This will be an amazing time, and in the spirit of sharing, I encourage each and every PPW member to invest in this organization and create your own incredible adventure! My personal growth as both photographer and businesswoman continue to increase exponentially, a direct result of exposure to the talent, wisdom, and experience resident in our PPW membership. The priceless and immeasurable bonds formed, and vast knowledge gained as a result of volunteering are proof the simple investment of effort and support will return generous rewards.
During the coming year, the Board of Directors and I will do everything imaginable to further educational, support, and fellowship opportunities for the membership. To build a strong organization, we need strong members, and again, I ask that everyone share ideas and make an effort to contribute as a volunteer, regardless of how small the task may seem. Many small bricks build great fortresses.
Please support your District Representatives by attending or suggesting/leading events, and visiting other District events. Don’t forget to start planning now for the amazing Fall Conference we’ll enjoy in Leavenworth. Let’s make this conference the biggest Fall Conference ever!
Reach out! Extend professional friendships to photographers within your area, let’s bond together across the state, and make our PPW founders and pillars proud of our efforts and increasing organizational strength. By making this gesture, we contribute to strengthening the industry, and provide an opportunity for our friends/peers outside PPW to become stronger. Take the time to contact those vendors who support our organization. Engage and support them with your business.
Each of us has a choice. We can lead the industry, or we can accept whatever comes our way. I am passionate our organizational and individual professional successes will explode victoriously if we take charge and lead Washington’s photographic industry.
In closing, I’d like to quote Vince Lombardi who said: “Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing. “
This is an organization of winners. Let’s make sure we’re unbeatable!
Respectfully,
Nina Beheim, AFP, CPP
