Yakima District - 3 on 3 Headshot Day

  • 01 May 2016
  • 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Two Mountain Winery, 2151 Cheyne Road, Zillah, WA

What the heck is 3 on 3 headshots?

Sometimes as photographers we are the ones who don’t have many photographs of ourselves to use for social media or for our marketing. This fun exercise will help change that.

We will all separate into groups of 3. One person is the subject getting a headshot taken of them, one person is the photographer, and the third person is taking pictures of the photographer shooting and getting some behind the scene images.

Each person will rotate into each station. This is a great exercise to be in front of the camera, to practice taking a solid headshot, and to capture some fun images of you being a photographer. If there is time we will do a second round. After the event, we will edit the images we photograph and give them to one another, and ideally, we'll all end up with a variety of images of ourselves.

What to bring:

  • Your beautiful self
  • Your camera and any strobes or gear that you like to use for both indoor and outdoors shooting
  • Be sure to wear a top that you want to be photographed in, you can even bring an extra shirt to change into if we do a second round
  • Please bring an appetizer to share with everyone

Thank you, Kathryn Rawn, who is generously allowing us to use the winery as our backdrop, as well as, the tasting room for us to use as shooting areas. She is also providing soft drinks and iced tea, and of course wine and beer are available for purchase. PPW will be providing dessert as well.

My hope is that everyone can arrive around 5:30…we’ll discuss a few important elements of what makes a strong headshot image, and get into our groups….and let the shooting begin!

Everyone welcome to join…should be a fun Sunday afternoon on May 1st.
