In this immersive, hands-on workshop, your instructors, Chris Wooley, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, PPW-F, and Rachel Wooley, M.Photog., CPP, PPW-F will show you how to craft atmospheric Halloween scenes using dramatic lighting, colored gels, fog, and a few carefully chosen props.
You will watch the complete process from concept to final light, then take your turn photographing costumed models and experimenting with your own creative touches.
You will leave with new lighting techniques and a haunting set of images for your portfolio.

A little bit about the instructors:
Chris Wooley, M. Photog., Cr., CPP, F-PPW is a photographer and educator based in Spokane, Washington, where he runs a successful retail portrait studio specializing in Vintage-Inspired and Commercial Business Portraits. With a Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman degree, as well as being a Certified Professional Photographer, Chris brings both expertise and a love of the craft to his workshops.
Known for his energetic, information-packed teaching style, Chris makes even the most technical topics engaging and approachable. Depending on the session, his workshops vary from dynamic presentations to hands-on learning experiences. He enjoys helping students understand complex concepts in a fun, practical way.
A past president of the Professional Photographers of Washington, Chris serves on the Board of the American Society of Photographers and is an accomplished photography competition judge. He has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Fuji Masterpieces, ACI’s Image Excellence, the ASP Elite Award, and the PPA National Award.
And of course, you’ll usually spot Chris sporting his signature bowtie, bringing a touch of vintage flair to every session.

A little bit about the instructors:
Kari J. Stuckey and Karissa Blunck are an award-winning mother-daughter photography duo that own and operate Studio K Portraits in Olympia, WA specializing in seniors, families and creative portraiture. Both found their passion for photography as children photographing their toys, family, friends and pets. Before Kari became a mom, she started working as a photographer professionally in 1991 at LA Glamour in Virginia while studying photography in college. After moving to Seattle, Kari opened her own studio in 1993 and gave birth to her daughter and future business partner in 1994. They relocated to Olympia in 2000 where Kari built a thriving studio. Karissa started assisting at the studio more as a teenager and joined the business full time after going to college for photography and art history.
Both Kari and Karissa hold their Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from PPA and their Fellow of Photography degree from PPW. In addition, Karissa holds the Master Artist degree from PPA for her work in Photographic Restoration and Digital Art. Together, they have taught dozens of workshops across the Pacific Northwest, sharing their expertise and inspiring fellow photographers with their creativity, skill, and passion for the art of photography.
