Hello everyone and welcome!
We are finding our way back to normalcy after over a year and I had forgotten how much we as an organization can get done when everyone is in the same room. The full PPW Board held the annual summer retreat July 10 and 11 and it was super productive. As a group, we did a ton this last year, so the retreat was time to pause, figure out what was working and what was not, so we can smartly chart our path into the future.
We have been doing a lot of events, many of them online due to circumstances – and in 2021 we find that we have been bumping into each other in the calendar. There is a concern that we’re diluting our content. The consensus of the group attending the retreat was to reduce the number of events, but to improve the quality. There is a push underway to fire up more community events in each of the four state Districts. It’s time we got together again.
We discussed each of the activities within PPW and determine how they fit our goal of value for members, how we can help each other out with those goals, and then how each area can do more to recruit and engage new members and add value to our existing members. The conversations were informative, enlightening, and we left with actionable plans to improve all the aspects of PPW.
PPW is moving forward with growth, integration and quality content on our mind.
I am asking for each PPW member to take on one action item that will help us grow and spread the word. When you see PPW pop up on your social platforms, please click ‘like’, comment and share the PPW social media posts with your sphere of influence. Our social media presence is growing and we’re testing our reach with campaigns between now and the end of September. The metrics coming back are showing engagement, but we need more information, and your clicks will increase the exposure we are seeking.
This is a fantastic journey and it’s amazing to be traveling with a great organization and with all of you.
