My website, pixelmixerart.com, is branded “The Pixel Mixer” because my passion is capturing digital pixels and making something creative with them.
I bought my first digital camera, a Nikon D90, in 2009, but I've been an avid Photoshop user since the early 2000's. I have been painting with the mixer brush since it was introduced in version CS5.
Always a student of Photoshop, I study and teach advanced Photoshop techniques, photo manipulations and digital painting. I also pursue image competitions, photo artistry training and magazine submissions, art contests and other artistic ventures.
I'm twice retired, serving 22 years in the US Navy healthcare field and 20 years as an IT consultant. After retirement I traveled as often as I could but now spend most of my time in Texas, enjoying my time with my photography, art and teaching.
Below are a few of my recent successes in Photography, Teaching Events and Publications in "Living the Photo Artistic Life" magazine where I am a member of both the AWAKE and KAIZEN art groups.
